At the end of the execution works, the new section will be connected to the existing infrastructure, with a national road profile, allowing transit traffic to be diverted outside the town.
The Bârlad Detour Variant consists of a distinct, completely new segment – the Eastern Variant, which runs between D.N. 24, at the entrance to Bârlad, and D.N. 24, at the exit from Bârlad towards Vaslui. It will have a total length of 11.281 kilometers, a platform width of 10 meters, 4 bridges, 3 passages, 4 intersections, 24 bridges and two short-term parking lots.
